A mixed flock, free-ranging on pasture, supplying our eggs year-round. Their feed is supplemented with flax, giving the eggs a boost of omega-3s.
Our story
Dutcher Cove Farm started the way most small farms do: with a few too many chickens. Mom's flock of about 50 hens produces more eggs than one household can use, so we started sharing the extra with neighbors here in Vaughn. What began as a couple dozen eggs handed over the fence has grown into a small family operation, now with a herd of dairy goats too.
It's still just us. Mom runs the shop, the kids take care of the animals and run the deliveries around the Key Peninsula. Nothing here is mass-produced. It's raised, milked, or made in small batches, and priced to cover feed and supplies rather than turn a big profit.
